Spending Time with God

This morning I politely told a neighbour's boy to stop throwing sticks at a defenseless squirrel. His mother came out to begin a fight. While I was in my wheelchair. I told her everything. She told her son to stop and sent him to his room. I believe I did the right thing. I also told her to have him read the bible. I handed her an old bible I got from a pantry and she thanked me and I helped her read a few passages to read with the boy. I hoped it would help them turn to God. I think I did the right thing. If Not it's in God's hands now.

I felt that after some time with the mother of the boy she was understanding that I was a Christian. I told her about the life of mine and becoming a Christian and converting to be Catholic. She told me she wished she had learned about God and found people to teach her like my partner's family and our friends at St Mark's church. I gave her the address and phone number of the church and the web address of my spiritual blog. She told me she would check it out. I sure hope she does and hopes in time she reads the bible she was given by me. This will help her draw closer to God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. The Trinity is hard to grasp. I even to this day find it difficult to understand.

Trinity is the foundation of most Christianity churches in the world today. Methodist, Baptists, Catholic, Church of England, and many more. I have even been to several others - Mormon, Jehovah Witness, and Jewish synagogs. I found them very confusing at times. I just didn't like Jehovah Witnesses due to them not having blood transfusions and having certain medications from a doctor you need to stay healthy. Mormons don't smoke, drink alcohol, drink tea or coffee, or any soda with caffeine in either. Which means no Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mr. Pibb, or the like. These are a bit extreme to me. I kind of understand the medical stuff for the JW's on the blood thing, but Mormons on the drink stuff are beyond me. This is ridiculous.

If you need to find out more about the Mormon faith or Jehovah Witness faiths or any other please research them on Google or another Search engine. I have found out my pieces of information by learning amongst them. I was in England when I was going to their communities where I could learn about their faith and learn amongst them. I studied with them the Mormons had a church, the Jehovah Witnesses had a Kindom Hall for their religious services.  They both had plenty of study books to learn from and different Bibles and the Mormon's even added scriptures to the Bible. This was unusual for us. We still have it as a memento for us.

Reading and studying is the best way to learn about any faith. Researching is also a good way to learn about a faith and it's teaching. I find it very informative too. Good luck in your search for the right religion for you. Keep searching and asking God for the true church of God. There is after all Only on God.

Daily Scripture - Tuesday 29th March

Matthew 24:29-31
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Matthew 24:36-44
"But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. In (those) days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark. They did not know until the flood came and carried them all away. So will it be (also) at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be out in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left. Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.

Both these scriptures talk about the second coming of the Son of Man. They talk about a few signs of the second coming. If you believe in God and have accepted Jesus as your God and Savior, then you need to read your Bible and know he is going to come and it will be when we least expect Him to come. Pray diligently and always study the Holy Bible. For the Holy Bible is our manual that will guide us to loving and believing in his mighty power and unconditional love.

Daily Scripture - 2 John:9

2 John: 9
If anybody does not keep within the teaching of Christ but goes beyond it, he cannot have God within him:only those who keep to what is taught can have the Father and the Son within them

Daily Scripture - 2 Timothy 1:7

2 Tim 1:7
God's gift was not the spirit of timidity,

but the Spirit of power, and love,
and self-control.

This scripture tells us about how powerful the Holy Ghost is. It's God spirit to work in our lives and show us how loving and caring God is to us, especially in times of trails and hardships. I know the Holy Ghost had shown me the mercy and unconditional love of God. I believe he sends his angels to watch over us and show us the might wisdom of his love. Pray and he will guide you and the Holy Ghost will show you the right way to live your life.

Daily Scriputer Psalms 57:1-3

Have pity on me, O God. Have pity on me, because my soul takes refuge in you. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until destructive storms pass by.

I call to God Most High,to the God who does everything for me.

He sends his help from heaven and saves me. He disgraces the one who is harassing me. God sends his mercy and his truth!

I got the feeling this is teaching me about knowing God is there for us, we just have to let him know. Asking his help and guidance is what he wants us to do. We can rely on our own , we need his help, his guidance and he gives us his love and tenderness we desperately seek.

Daily Scripture - Ezra 6:11

Ezra 6:11
I am also issuing a decree that if anyone tampers with my orders, that person should be impaled on a beam torn from his own house and his house should be turned into a pile of rubble.

This makes feel like we should be following God rules and regulations for life.  without God in our life daily will will forget his rules and commandments we need to life our lives by. Without daily scripture and prayer we will count for nothing. He is our guide in the world of where Satan rules right now. Once Satan's rule is over, we'll be returned to be by God side and never want for anything.

Remember: God and talk with him each day...

Daily Scripture: - Jeremiah 17:7-8

Jeremiah 17: 7-8
Blessed is the person who trusts the Lord. The Lord will be his confidence. He will be like a tree that is planted by water. It will send its roots down to a stream. It will not be afraid in the heat of summer. Its leaves will turn green. It will not be anxious during droughts. It will not stop producing fruit.

This Scripture tells me if we are weak, we must look at God for strength, guidance and help. Have faith and know God is there, by your side. You just have to ask for him. Close your eyes, open your heart and let God ad his Holy Spirit enter your body and lead you onto the right path. I know he is leading me and I am saved by his mercy and grace. I answer to nobody but God and his only son Christ.

Daily Scripture Revelation 21:4

And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

I have come to understand each day as it comes. I believe God is telling us one day there will be no sickness, no pain, no broken hearts. We will commune one with Christ and God. This scripture tells me I will be free. No more pain, which means to me no more wheelchair, I'll be healthy and happy.  Plus the ones I've lost will be reunited with me in the new heaven, the new earth. Which is happiness to my ears..

Daily Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:3

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

This spoke to me when I read this a couple of times. For me this means the Holy Spirit gives us talents and we are guided the the spirit to use these talents to help bring people and children of all ages back to him. My talent is writing and leading children and teens back to him in the words I write in my poetry and my stories.

Daily Scripture: Job 42:1-6

Job 42:1-6
Job Speaks
I Admit That I Was Wrong
1Then Job answered the Lord,

2 “I know that you can do everything
and that your plans are unstoppable.

“You said, ‘Who is this that belittles my advice without having any knowledge about it?’
Yes, I have stated things I didn’t understand, things too mysterious for me to know.

“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak. I will ask you, and you will teach me.’

I had heard about you with my own ears, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.

That is why I take back what I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show that I am sorry.”

This scripture talks about trusting in God and letting him guide you. Don't trust your own thoughts and beliefs. Believing in God and letting him know when you lack things. Not knowing is what we are here to learn about. I learned this morning that I have to be patient and give God the time to fulfill when I have to do with my life on earth. He is my guide and He is your guide. Speak to him each day, whether or not you read the bible. Pray!

Daily Scripture: Job 17:12-16

Job 17:12-16
You say that night is day. Light has nearly become darkness. If I look for the grave as my home and make my bed in the darkness,if I say to the pit, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘You are my mother and sister,’then where is my hope? Can you see any hope left in me? Will hope go down with me to the gates of the grave? Will my hope rest with me in the dust?”

This scripture make me remember the times we are all depressed and want to blame God for our misery. The thing is God never wanted us to be miserable, that is Satan. he is trying to trap us and making us believe God is the one to blame. Well, in fact it's Satan who is trying to trick us. He is the one who is causing all our problems, also part of the blame is with ourselves. I know pain, I have problems, but they aren't brought on by God, but by man and the people Satan influences to hurt us. Mine was my biological family. They hurt me, they never wanted me. I moved to America and found true friendship, unconditional love, not from man, but from God himself.

I now have friends, friends that are there for me, that support me and help me. God gave me friends, true friends. Plus I got the family I always dreamed about. My partner's family. they welcomed me into the fold and I know true love from my partner's parents and brothers. I want the world to know I thank God for my new life in America!

Daily Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:5

2 Corinthians 1:5
Because Christ suffered so much for us, we can receive so much comfort from him.

This scripture makes me feel so alive. I believe this scripture explains that Christ gave his life for me to gain everlasting life. It also tells me that God gave this as a gift for us to know he loves us unconditional love. That means no matter what you do here, longs you pray and ask forgiveness and you'll receive the Holy Ghost and it will tell you of such a great gift God gave for us. He gave up his only son to die for our sins. What a wonderful gift Christ gave for us to join God one day...

Romans 8:1-11 Daily Scripture

So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned. The standards of the Spirit, who gives life through Christ Jesus, have set you free from the standards of sin and death. It is impossible to do what God’s standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. That way God condemned sin in our corrupt nature. Therefore, we, who do not live by our corrupt nature but by our spiritual nature, are able to meet God’s standards.

Those who live by the corrupt nature have the corrupt nature’s attitude. But those who live by the spiritual nature have the spiritual nature’s attitude. The corrupt nature’s attitude leads to death. But the spiritual nature’s attitude leads to life and peace. This is so because the corrupt nature has a hostile attitude toward God. It refuses to place itself under the authority of God’s standards because it can’t. Those who are under the control of the corrupt nature can’t please God. But if God’s Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature.

Whoever doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ doesn’t belong to him. However, if Christ lives in you, your bodies are dead because of sin, but your spirits are alive because you have God’s approval. Does the Spirit of the one who brought Jesus back to life live in you? Then the one who brought Christ back to life will also make your mortal bodies alive by his Spirit who lives in you.

This scripture tells me, that I have to have the spirit of God, the Holy Ghost living and breathing inside my body, soul, heart and strength. I believe I do have the Holy Ghost living inside. I pray daily for this spirit of God to lead my path, let me know what is right, and what is not. I feel God guiding spirit living, and dwelling inside my soul and heart.

Remember: to pray daily, you need to have God living, and breathing inside. Without God's guiding spirit within your, you're going to fail at every thing you try and do!

1 Samuel 12:24 - Daily Scripture

2 Samuel 12:24
Fear the Lord, and serve him sincerely. Consider the great things he did for you.

I've been pondering this scripture all day and reading over and over many times during the day and into the early evening.  It tells me that we have to acknowledge God and our savior, remember the good he has given us. Say a prayer of thanks to God when we receive what we want. Pray for guidance and help when we lack wisdom, faith and trust in him and our earthly family.

He has set us here on earth to lead others towards him. To thank him every single day. I thank God for the food on my table, the clothes on my back and all the friends and family I have here in America. For those who don't know me, I was born in Chatham, Kent England. I had a rather mixed up beginning to life. But for the last five years and a couple of days. I arrived in Indy back in October 2005. Now it's October 2010 and I've just celebrated the fifth year here. It will be my fifth year anniversary of my marriage to my partner on 10th November.

Faith and Inspiration

1Tim 6:3-10

This scripture tells of having faith in God and not trying to get rich or wanting worldly goods. As Long as we have clothes on our bodies, food in out stomach and somewhere to worship, we have everything we need. Worldly items don't bring us happiness, but misery. I found this scripture enlightening and touching to understand. I know some of us think we haven't got enough of this or that. I say NO!

Listen to God's word, pray about it, then do what is right. Accept we have things because we need them. Only thirst for God's knowledge and guidance. Nothing else is what we need...
